Richweb has moved up to Gold in the Proxmox partner program, a step up from the Silver tier we have held while building out our Proxmox practice.
What the tier actually means
Partner badges are easy to put on a website and harder to cash in. Here is the part that matters: Gold reflects the volume of Proxmox VE and Proxmox Backup Server subscriptions we place, the depth of certification our engineers hold, and the fact that we run the platform ourselves. The HVENS Cloud is Proxmox VE in production, not a lab. When we recommend a cluster layout, it is one we are already operating.
Practically, it means a shorter path from a customer problem to a Proxmox engineer. We keep direct escalation channels into Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH, pre-release access for testing against what is coming, and current training credentials across the team.
Why this happened now
Two years of Broadcom renewal letters did most of the work. What started as a handful of curious customers asking about alternatives turned into a steady queue of migrations: mid-market shops with a few dozen VMs, ISPs consolidating hypervisors, and a fair number of organizations who simply wanted their virtualization budget to be predictable again. We built the practice to meet that, and the tier followed the work rather than the other way around.
What changes for customers
- Nothing you have to do. Existing subscriptions, support paths, and renewal dates are unchanged.
- Same subscription tiers. We continue to resell Basic, Standard, and Premium for both Proxmox VE and Proxmox Backup Server, standalone or bundled with managed services.
- Escalation stays ours to own. If something needs to reach Proxmox engineering, we open it and we carry it. You are not handed a vendor portal login and wished well.
Where we are the wrong answer
Proxmox is not the right landing spot for every VMware estate. If your environment leans hard on NSX, vSAN stretched clusters, or a VDI deployment built around Horizon, the migration math gets a lot less friendly and we will tell you so early rather than three months into a project. Where Proxmox does fit, and for most mid-market estates it fits well, we can take the whole thing: sizing, migration, subscriptions, backup, and the cluster once it is running.
Talk to us
If you are sizing a migration, weighing a renewal, or just want a second opinion on the numbers in front of you, the sales team is happy to take a look. Our Proxmox page covers the platform and our services in more detail, and our earlier piece on the VMware exodus walks through what a staged migration actually looks like.
