Richweb likes to use SSL based vpns for end user vpn access. We typically install a NetGear SSL VPN appliance which supports up to 25 users at the network that will be accessed (the HQ site).
VPN Requirements:
1. 1.5Mbits/sec of bidirectional bandwidth at the HQ site for 5+ vpn users.
2. 512Kbits/sec of bidirectional bandwidth at the HQ site for 1-2 vpn users.
Note:
Please have at least 1.0Mbits/sec of bandwidth at BOTH the PC site and the HQ site if you need file sharing (mounting of network drives).
3. Public IP or NAT ip on the firewall that can allow port 443/tcp (SSL) traffic inbound to the vpn appliance.
4. IE or Firefox browser on the remote PC. VPN connection will auto-close if browser is closed.
