Website Stats / Tracking: Setup Google Analytics
Many of our clients would like to track the number of visitors to their websites. When asked, we always recommend that they sign up for a free account with Google Analytics.
The process is very simple! Click on the following link and register an account with Google Analytics. After you register, you will go through a few simple steps in which you will be provided a snippet of javascript tracking code. You will then copy the code, paste it into an email and send it to Richweb. From there we will paste the tracking code into all of the pages on your website. Within a couple days you'll be able to log into your Google Analytics account and view information on the viewers to your website.
The only cost you will incur is the time it takes us to update your website with the tracking code. Usually, anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Google currently does not charge a fee to use Google Analytics.

Check out Statcounter
I was running Google Analytics earlier this year and was not thrilled with the types and formatting of information. What I found to be much better was Statcounter, also free for lower volume users and minor charges for larger ones. It gives detailed pageload information, resolves the visiting address to domain, etc. Check it out - www.statcounter.com
